An Unforgivable Journey to Kabaragala💚
Kabaragala - Sri Lanka
Mount Kabaragala is located at an elevation of 1506 m above sea level and is the highest mountain in the Twelfth Mountain Range.
If we take this beautiful journey as a detour. We boarded our van in the morning and set out to climb Kabaragala Hill. This is where our route was. After that we reached Bulath Kohupitiya road. We stopped at a supermarket in the town, had breakfast and left again via Dedulugama.
Enjoying the beauty of the environment on both sides of the road, two songs rang out in tune with the sweet melody of a fellow guitarist. After breakfast, our first stop was Nalagana Falls. We had to park on the side of the road and walk to the falls on a road that had fallen through a rubber plantation. Because of the goodness of the road. We went to the waterfall and took a nice look around and left for our main destination Kabaragala again. Somehow at around 3 pm we reached the road leading to the hill. We also stopped at the lower temple with the permission of the Thero as some of the climbers were parking at the temple.
In fact, this is another experience worthwhile for us. So our main goal was to climb the mountain and pitch tents before the rain because the sky was already dark. We climbed up and came to the rock. From there we looked around and saw a series of beautiful views. We saw the trees below the beautiful surroundings and the mountains in the distance as we could see. What we could see were the stone stoves that had been built around it, as well as the burnt pieces. Soon our two tents began to burn, and at the same time firewood was added to light a fire. With the thick bee smoke spread so strong that it spread to a level where we could not see each other. At the same time small raindrops came face to face with the wind. One of the songs that came to mind at that time was Kasun Kalhara's song "Meedum Dumaraye". Somehow it subsided in about half an hour and then we could see a very clear sky. We also quickly made our dinner.
We reached another exciting moment in our journey. It was about sitting around the fire and singing. We sang beautifully despite the wind blowing. It's like being carried with the mouth.
The next morning the sun was rising through the mist. Slowly we were able to imagine a paradise with the surrounding sunshine illuminating the surroundings. After the shower, we finally had our lunch there. After that, our main goal was to go home safely. We also took back everything we had taken and left for our homes.
In fact, Mother Nature has endowed living beings with such a valuable creation. It cannot be valued and words are not rich enough to translate that beauty into words. This is the most beautiful place in the world we live in. It is reserved for the creatures that live there. We enjoy that beauty today and we need to protect it for our future as well.
